If you have ever owned a set of oil crayons, as a child, there was this unique color, you would never know where to use. ‘The Teal Blue’. While the yellow fits the sun, blue fills the sky, red dresses the roses, the teal blue never really found a place. Many years later, this beautiful colour found its fill in this magnificent-gothic style hand woven wonder.
With 100 knots per sq inch, this 100% hand-knotted carpet is made from a mix of art silk and hand spun New Zealand wool.

About The Weaver
Mateen Usmani, comes to the factory everyday wearing something blue. His grandfather, a freedom fighter, taught him at a young age that it’s okay to not fit in. A single survivor and bread-winner in his family, he found beauty in the most uncommon places and colours. Such an eye for design has translated into some of his finest work in such a short-career span. We at thedruggetandparquetryco are really thrilled to have him as he’s just getting started.
